Sharing the Vision – A Prayer evening
Manchester’s Walk of Christian Witness
Date: Wednesday 16th September 2009,
Time: 7:30
Venue:
St Ann’s Church,
St Ann’s Square,
Manchester
M2 7LF
We invite you (and as many people as possible) to an evening of prayer and envisioning, led by the Rector of St Ann’s, Rev Nigel Ashworth and the team. The “We are One” walk will take place on Saturday 28th November 2009 going from Salford Cathedral to Manchester Cathedral. At the sharing the vision evening we will
· pray for God’s guidance and support on that great day
· share the draft ideas for the walk
· enable you and your Church to get involved
In January 2000 hundreds of Christians from all over Manchester met at Salford Cathedral (Roman Catholic) for worship and walked with church leaders through centre of the city to Manchester Cathedral (Anglican). Please visit the website www.weareonemanchester.org.uk to watch a video record of that wonderful day, when regardless of our traditions and denominations, we were truly One in Christ because we
· prayed and praised as one
· were seen by the world to be one
· our message was simple and direct – WE ARE ONE.
In November 2009 we will walk in witness again, joining across the nationalities and traditions - African, American, Anglican, Asian, Baptists, Caribbean, Catholic, Coptic, Chinese, European, Episcopalian, Evangelical, Indian, Methodist, New Churches, Orthodox, Pakistani, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Salvationist, United Reformed – indeed everybody who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ.
