Night Shelter
Manchester City Mission are going to run a pilot scheme night shelter from November 2008 to the end of January 2009. We are opening our gymnasium and providing camp bed facilities for homeless emergency access.
A light meal and breakfast will be provided for the clients and also referral to the drop-in support workers to help with any housing and benefits issues.
Hopefully, if it all goes well, this will lead to the gym being adapted into a permanent night shelter with dormitory style accommodation.
We are anticipating a high up take for this service and so desperately need the following:
- A considerable volunteer base in order to provide adequate cover for the 7 nights. Shifts are 7pm - 7am - over 21's only.
- Any contributions of pillows, duvets, sleeping bags or bed linen.
- Finances to cover heating and food costs.
- Or you could buy a bed for just a £10 donation.

Resonate for your Church
We are now opening up the Resonate course for churches to book for their congregations. The course is run over four evenings, one evening a week for two hours at a time.
The course is offered free to churches.
