 The Big Deal in Stockport

Stockport

The Big Deal in Stockport was officially launched on the 28 March at 7.30pm, St Mary's in the Marketplace attended by over 600 Christians from all variety of churches across Stockport.

The aim of the year is to take the Christian message to the people of Stockport through word and deed. There are loads of opportunities to share God's love through simple acts of kindness. Through the year there have been a number of key events that churches have been invited to join with. In addition, the challenge to the church has been to find ways to do more, to build upon the great work already taking place in a way that capitalises on the benefit of a united approach by all 100+ churches in Stockport.

High points of the year so far have included:

  • The Big Deal Weekend 27-28 May 2006 which included at Saturday of community action all around the borough followed by Sunday events at Woodbank Memorial park in Offerton, including a united celebration worship, family fun day and climaxing with the Space Summer Roadshow youth concert.
